부채춤
1954년 스승인 최승희의 영향을 받아 김백봉 선생이 착안하여 초연한 부채춤은 시간을 거듭할수록 예술적으로 발전하여 1968년 멕시코올림픽과 1986년 아시안 게임, 1988년 88 서울올림픽에서 선보이며 그 예술적 아름다움이 세계적인 찬사를 받았다. 이후 한국무용을 대표하는 작품으로 발전의 발전을 거듭하며 오늘날까지 널리 사랑받고 있다.
Handy Fan Dance
The handy fan dance, called buchaechum, was premiered in 1954 by master Kim Baek-bong who was inspired by his mentor master Choe Seung-hui. The dance had been revised and improved artistically over times. As presented in 1968 mexico olympic and 1986 Asian Games and in 1988 Seoul Olympics, it was introduced worldwide and achieved great recognition on its beauty. Rearranged time to time, it is known to be one of the most representative Korean traditional dance, still being loved by many people.
