Overfilled the oil tank in
Overfilled the oil tank in a lawn mower and need to remove the excess? I did not want to tip my mower to pour out the oil. Neither did I want to run the mower anymore since it was spitting oil and gas... just to empty the gas tank so I would tip the mower to the other side to pour out the oil. The third option seemed to be to purchase and use an extractor. I did something else. I used a empty water bottle and a pump from a lotion bottle to remove the excess oil. A turkey baster seemed too big to go in the tiny oil well. My first lotion pump was too short so I found a longer one that worked perfectly!
If you want to use a fluid extractor, here is one of the least expensive and simplest ones I found:

This is not my mower but if someone does not want to ever change the oil in a mower, this might be a good alternative:
