The actor, who happens to be a farmer's son, today is considered one of the finest artists from the generation. He discusses his entire journey - how his parents supported his dream despite not knowing anything, how he got into NSD, and finally started with menial roles in films. From battling financial crisis, not having enough to eat to fighting racist slurs and being rejected for his skin tone, he has seen it all. In fact, he also recalls an incident where he shot for a small part in Raveena Tandon and Manoj Bajpayee starrer Shool and how he still has not been paid Rs 2500 for the shoot.
