A recently added MS PowerToys
A recently added MS PowerToys utility (Video Conference Mute) allows us to set a global keyboard shortcut to mute the audio, stop the video, or both during video conference like in a MS Teams or Zoom meeting. It also gives us the option to replace the default thumbnail that displays when we're off camera with an overlay image of our choice. I designed a custom image with a text "Be right back" so that I can let the meeting participants know when I'm away, without having to make an announcement and disrupt the meeting. I think you'll find this "hack" useful.
