How to Paint Dishes with Glass Paint

Glass paint can transform basic dishes into beautiful home décor. Watch as Better Homes and Gardens shows you how to paint dishes using glass paint! To start this DIY home project, draw or print a pattern on a piece of paper. Cut away extra paper so the pattern fits easily on the plate. To transfer the pattern, flip the paper over and shade the back with a graphite pencil. Re-place the paper, pattern side up, and trace with a pencil. To paint your plate, use a stylus and glass paint, and paint dots allow the lines. When dry, wipe away the pencil lines, and then bake the plate according to the paint manufacturer's instructions.
