Emeutes, clandestins, bidonvilles : Mayotte, la poudrière de l'Afrique

Located between Africa and Madagascar, Mayotte is an archipelago where daily life is more adventure than pleasure. Mamoudzou, the capital, is a town surrounded by slums which is home to tens of thousands of illegal immigrants. Taking all the risks on the Indian Ocean to try to get to Mayotte, these destitute immigrants turn the island into a powder keg. Between riots, racial tensions and tracking down undocumented migrants, the police are trying to bring order. As for the doctors and nurses, they must best supervise pregnant women from neighboring countries to give birth on French territory.
