Building swale to support a new olive tree grove. It's important to plan for success when planting in a new area. In today's video I discuss the thinking behind and also show the building of swales along the side of a gully where I am planting young olive trees. The olive trees need the hottest spot on the property which is also potentially the driest. By building these swales means that these plants will get as much moisture as possible with little effort - it's all in the design.
