As for "Rabi`ah" tribes, they
As for "Rabi`ah" tribes, they are many tribes between which internal wars occurred, resulting in six entities:
"Taghlib" and its allies, "Ghufilah" and "An-Namir", in addition to a small group of "Iyad"'s remains.
Those are matched by "Bakr bin Wael" and its allies "`Aanzah bin Asad" and "Dubay`ah"
And these two entities are what "`Amr bin Kulthum Al-Taghlibi" ment in his saying:
( we would always be the right-wing of the army if we met ) * in battle*
(And the left-wingers would be the sons of our father)
( So, they came back with spoils of war )
( And we came back with Kings in chains )
It was said to him: You weren't fair to your brothers!
And "Ahl Al-Yamamah"
people of "Al-Yamamah"
who are a unified collective entity made up of groups belonging to the various "Rabi`ah" tribes.
They were metaphorically (Bani `Hanifah) because the majority and leadership among them belonged to "Bani `Hanifah".
"Musa bin Jaber Al-Hanafi" said:
( We found our father who was in a town..)
(Same between "Qays Aylan" and "Al-Fizr" )
* "Al-Fizr", a tribe from "Bani Tamim" *
( On a hill surrounded by enemies, in the middle of a horse-like circle )
( And when the clan left us alone!)
( we settled and made an alliance with the swords)
These are "Ahl Al-Yamamah" in the Prophet's era.
Then "Abdul Qais", which was settled in "Bahrain", and its base was "Hajar".
As for "Aklub" It headed south and allied itself with "Shahran" and "Nahis"
and when Islam came it was part of "Khath`am" al-Qahtaniyyah
So it is from "Rabi`ah", but its political position followed the position of "Khath`am"
"`Amir ibn al-Tufail," said in the Battle of "Fayf Ar-Rih":
(They came to us with the widespread "Shahran" tribe
( In addition to the "Aklub", that their number was as large as the number of the " Bani Bakr ibn Wael" tribe)
(The leaders of these tribes sought between the "Suayqah" )
( to the south of the "Al-Qahr" mountains with a slope to the north )
( If their number is close to ours, they would not defeat us)
( But we they brought many madmen and daredevil warriors )
( "Khath`am" alone is equivalent to the power of "Madhhij" )
( are we nothing but an ordinary tribe? )
" `Anz bin Wael" also headed south and settled in "Sha`f Al-Sarah" on the back of "Jurash"
and became "Khath`am"'s ally, but without being a part of it.
These are the tribes of "Rabi`ah" in the Prophet's era.
