At RazerCon, Razer officially unveiled the Razer Edge, a portable cloud gaming device. The console comes in 5G and Wi-Fi variants with a minimum price of $400 (for the latter).
The Edge has a 6.8-inch AMOLED screen with a 144Hz refresh rate and Full HD+ (2400x1080) resolution. Razer claims the display has 87% more pixels than competitor devices – for example, the Steam Deck screen has a resolution of 1280 x 800. The Edge Gorilla Glass touchscreen used has a 288Hz polling rate.
The console runs on the Snapdragon G3x Gen 1 gaming platform, designed specifically for the Edge. The device is equipped with a 3GHz Kryo octa-core processor and Adreno GPU, as well as active cooling and six air vents.
Edge received a 5000 mAh battery, 8 GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 128 GB of internal storage. Sound output two-way speakers Verizon Adaptive Sound, there are also two microphones. There is a webcam and the ability to stream during the game.
