Learning Objectives of Lecture 06 | Lisanulquran Course 2024 In English Language
This video is about the third characteristic of ism, which is the capacity of ism, also called W. The speaker discusses whether an ism is definite or indefinite, and the different types of definite ISM.
An ism can be definite or indefinite. Definite ISM, also called mifa ISM, refers to something specific, while indefinite ISM, also called nak ism, refers to something non-specific. There are seven types of definite ISM, and the speaker discusses the first five in this lecture:
1. Ism Alam: This refers to proper nouns, like names of people, places, or things.
2. Ism Zamir: This refers to pronouns, like "I," "you," "he," etc.
3. Ism Isara: This refers to demonstrative pronouns, like "this," "that," "these," "those."
4. Ism Mual: This refers to relative pronouns, like "who," "which," "that."
5. Ism Lam: This is a way to convert an indefinite ism into a definite ism by adding the prefix "al-" to the word.
The speaker also introduces the concept of lam, which is a prefix that can be used to convert an indefinite ism into a definite ism. For example, the word "kitab" (book) is an indefinite ism, but adding the lam prefix turns it into "al-kitab" (the book), which is a definite ism.
