In this video I will unbox and shuck or open a Seagate 5TB One Touch and Seagate 5TB Expansion portable drive. Inside both enclosures I found Seagate 5TB Barracuda drives which look identical. I will be using these drives to create a 5TB RAID 1 volume inside a MediaSonic Dual Bay 2.5 Raid Enclosure with a USB C connection. This procedure is similar for all Seagate 1TB, 2TB, 3TB, 4TB, 5TB drives.
DO NOT use Western Digital drives, they have a proprietary hard mounted connector instead of a standard SATA connector and cannot be used in a PC or another enclosure.
I used this video to help me open the One Touch drive, the video describes a Backup Plus drive but both drives are identical so thanks to this user for that video, its a lot shorter and very useful:
