Here's how to film yourself and properly frame your first talking head video:
- Use your phone, video camera, or webcam to film yourself.
If you don't have a tripod, create a makeshift one out of books, cans, etc.
- Find a quiet area with a non-distracting background.
Avoid filming in a high-traffic area with people or objects moving in the background.
- Center yourself in the frame.
Set yourself up in the center of the screen with roughly a third of empty space above your head. This gives you wiggle room if you crop your video later on.
