Alex Claremont-Diaz, the son of the President of the United States, and Britain’s Prince Henry have a lot in common: stunning good looks, undeniable charisma, international popularity…and a total disdain for each other. Red, White & Royal Blue stars Taylor Zakhar Perez (The Kissing Booth films) as Alex Claremont-Diaz; Nicholas Galitzine (Cinderella) as Prince Henry; Clifton Collins Jr. (Nightmare Alley) as Congressman and First Gentleman, Oscar Diaz; Sarah Shahi (Black Adam) as Zahra Bankston, the White House Deputy Chief-of-Staff; Rachel Hilson (Love, Victor) as Nora Holleran, the granddaughter of the Vice President and Alex’s best friend; with award-winning actor Stephen Fry (Gosford Park, The Dropout) as the King of England; and Oscar nominee Uma Thurman (Pulp
Fiction, the Kill Bill films) as President Ellen Claremont.
López directed the film from a screenplay he co-wrote with Ted Malawer. The film is produced by Greg Berlanti and Sarah Schechter, with McQuiston, Michael Riley McGrath, López and Michael S. Constable serving as executive producers.
Behind the scenes, López collaborated with two-time Oscar-nominated director of photography Stephen Goldblatt (Prince of Tides, Batman Forever, Angels in America), production designer Miren Marañón, editors Kristina Hetherington and Nick Moore, and costume designer Keith Madden. The music is by Drum & Lace.
