1) Every year I make myself such pleated blinds and have acquired some skills.
- The principle is that you need to make an accordion out of wallpaper. My fold width is 5 cm. From experience I came to the conclusion that it is better to mark the edges of the paper 5 cm on each side and fold them along these marks. If this is not done, after several folds the product will lose its straight shape and become distorted.
- The length of the canvas is approximately one and a half times the length of the glass. But I try it on as I go and when the length is sufficient I cut off the excess paper.
- Then, using an awl, you need to pierce the accordion right through to insert the rope.
The pattern can be made in two ways.
Last year I inserted a rope in the middle of the canvas. When the blinds were pulled together, a semicircle was formed at the bottom.
Now I did it differently.
I pierced the accordion from both edges, retreating 6 cm. I threaded the rope using a crochet hook.
- At the top of the curtain, the rope was secured with tape so that it would not slip out. I connected the top fold with double-sided tape; you can glue it with glue to make the edge more rigid. If the wallpaper is thin, then you need to additionally insert a strip of cardboard here.
Do the same for the bottom edge.
- I put these clips on the ends of the ropes; they are usually attached to hoods. When you press the button, the rope easily slides through this thing, when you release, the clamp secures the rope.
- Very convenient, on cloudy days the blinds can be raised to let in more light.
- I glued this curtain to the window with double-sided tape.
When the budget is limited, this is the most profitable option for shading windows from the scorching sun.

2) I have long wanted to make storage boxes into drawers, and wallpaper is just right for this, they are dense, strong, as if rubberized.
To make one box, you need to cut out a square.
How to roll:
- On the reverse side I drew lines cross to cross.
- I folded two opposite corners towards the middle and immediately glued them. Since the wallpaper is thick, you need to smooth each fold well with a ruler.
- Next, I folded the other two corners towards the center.
- I turned these corners and folded the paper that was glued towards each other.
- I folded the square again and folded the same sides so that the folds were bent in the desired direction.
- Once again I unfolded the folds and made cuts from 4 sides to the diagonal.
- The middle part was unfolded.
- The cut parts were lifted and connected, and the protruding parts were folded over.
- I did the same on the other side. It turned out to be a neat box.
- You can accurately make the desired size of the box. The bottom will be equal to ¼ half of the diagonal, see the diagram.
- I glued the boxes together with hot glue and placed them in a box.
- You can glue these boxes together, glue the sides on 4 sides and get a separate box with compartments.
Ready! Everything is neatly folded and clearly visible.
Now the box is in order, I will do the same in other places.

3) I have wallpapered quilt boxes in my sewing room. You can also glue pieces of wallpaper to the inside of the cabinet, especially if the door has glass, or decorate the furniture.

You can cut a stencil from a piece of wallpaper with a suitable pattern. Or wrap a gift. In general, there are a lot of ideas. But for the most creative and lazy people, this is basket weaving. Today I can say I sewed one for myself.
I am happy to share this master class with you.
For the basket you will need strips of wallpaper. 10 pieces 60 cm long and 4 pieces 80 cm.
- The strips must be dense so that the basket holds its shape. Therefore, I folded them several times, or rather, cut out all the strips with a width of 16 cm.
- I stitched each strip on a sewing machine on both sides. Then I ironed it through gauze. If the wallpaper is vinyl, then rub the foot with a piece of soap so that the strips do not stick and move well.
- Strips 60 cm long intertwined with each other, like a braid. It turned out to be a bottom; I reinforced the strips on all four sides with hot glue.
- The free parts of the strips were bent at right angles inward.
- Now the weaving is going up. I intertwined all sides with a strip of 80 cm, forming a square. I connected this strip with a stapler. You can use paper clips in this first row.
- So I inserted all four long strips.
- At the top of the basket I cut off the excess parts of the strip, folded it over and glued it with hot glue.
I put balls of yarn in a new basket.
