As the severe cold wave grips Kashmir, the normal lives of people have been affected after the temperature dropped below the freezing point. Along with the cold wave, a layer of fog also shrouded the Srinagar valley making life difficult, especially during the morning hours. Meanwhile, a thin layer of ice had formed over the surface of the Dal Lake as Srinagar recorded a minimum temperature of -4.8 degree Celsius on Jan 04.
