Behind Black Rainbows - "Red Horse"

My track “Red Horse” took me to the American west, envisioning the future of a young Black girl in the 1850s I saw a photograph of at the Arts Bank. She was wearing a white dress and a white hat, and based on the photo was working as a nanny for a white family. I imagined a man on a red horse entering her life as she stepped away from that job, and the idea of freedom to write her own narrative.
