Laurel and Hardy in The Battle of the Century (1927)

Under the Copyright Term Extension Act of 1998, movies are copyrighted for 95 years in the US. Therefore, all American movies released in 1927 entered the public domain on January 1, 2023.
The lost Laurel and Hardy short recovered a few years ago. This is the restored version that was selected in 2020 for preservation in The United States Film Registry by the Library of Congress. Restored by the UCLA Film and Televison Archive with assistance from Paramount Pictures.
