CSX's Pittsburgh Sub

CSX's former Pittsburgh and Lake Erie main line runs roughly fifty miles from McKeesport to New Castle, PA along the western boarder of Pennsylvania, skirting the banks of the Ohio River, as well as crossing some rather unique bridges. I paid a visit to this line for the first time since 2006 during a weekend trip to the Pittsburgh area in mid-May, 2013. Traffic was not as affluent as the nearby NS Ft. Wayne Line, but it still broke up the monotony of seeing NS units. The morning usually sees quite a few eastbounds, with a westbound or two thrown in. The afternoon can be pretty hit-or-miss. The locations are not very photogenic, with the exception of Monaca, the opening scenes. This line predominately runs through the woods right along side the river, with no road access until you enter a town, but regardless, I've done the best I could with what there was.
