I was asked many times by my students how to make nice long-lasting booklets from single sheet papers. Photocopies are (still) used a lot among musicians. Scotch tape is not good for the long term, as it dries and breaks. Staples are not good as it is difficult to open the page flat, and they become rusty over time. Spirals make noise, and have limited lifespan.

I use plain paper strips and a glue stick. The books last many years, sometimes more than the originals! They open flat, and make no noise. If you prepare them carefully, exactly aligned, you can make thick books as well.  Repairing is not a problem - just add glue stick where needed (as I did in this video in few places).

Very important - check which pages are facing each other! so you can turn the page when there is a rest... if you start wrong, you have to do it over again....

Second important thing - double check that all pages are facing same direction and in the right order before attaching...

Leave ca. 1-2 mm between each two facing pages so they won't overlap when closed.

Usually it takes me shorter time than here, as the camera tripod was in my way...
In this demo one page was printed mistakably on both sides...ignore...

Hope this will be useful for you!
