Mountain Village Gondola, Telluride, CO

The MV Gondola is split into two sections by San Sophia Station, the summit of the gondola. Stage 2 was built first, in 1992 by CTEC. On the Mountain Village Side. Stage 1 was built by Garaventa CTEC in 1996, on the Telluride side. These sorts of collaborated lifts are very rare. As of 2023, new cabins have been added to increase capacity, and old Garaventa AG grips have been removed and some are currently located in San Sophia Station, as Doppelmayr replaced the grips recently. Stage 1 and Stage 2 are divisible. The lift will stay open from 6am to midnight, and seasonally to 2am the next day. Lift was filmed after Bike Park operation hours.
