VLAN Trunking Protocol (VTP)
VTP is a Layer 2 messaging protocol that maintains VLAN configuration consistency by managing the addition, deletion, and renaming of VLANs on a network-wide basis.
Manages the addition, deletion, and renaming of VLANs across the network from a central point of control.

Configuring VTP
Switch(config)# vtp domain Cisco !When configuring VTP for the first time, you must always assign a domain name.
Switch(config)# vtp version {1 | 2 | 3} !Configuring the VTP Version
Switch(config)# vtp mode { server | client | transparent | off } !Configuring the VTP Mode
Switch(config)# vtp password password [ hidden | secret ] !Configure a password

Monitoring VTP
Switch# show vtp status
Switch# show vtp interface [interface-id]
Switch# show vtp password
