My go pro 8 hero
My go pro 8 hero black suddenly died while I was shooting a timelapse video. Go pro gives a one year warranty for their cameras. I was lucky to have 1 month guarantee left. I have to say go pro did an awesome job helping me to solve this issue and they promised to replace my camera with a new one. If same happened to you check out this video where I will explain what to do if the unthinkable happens.
Trouble shooting steps for (gopro 8 that does not turn on);
1. Remove the battery and re-insert it. Try starting the camera by pressing the mod button for 3 seconds. If nothing happens. Try the next step.
2. Remove the memorycard and the battery. Insert the sd-card into a card reader of your computer and format the sd-card. (Remember to save your files first). Now try putting it back to the gopro and re-start the camera by pressing the mod button for 3 secs. If still nothing, try the next step.
3.Try another battery, it might be that your battery got very low and died. Also see if the red charging light is burning in the gopro unit when you are trying to charge the camera.
4.The last thing you can try is to factory reset your gopro. Connect the unit to a charger without the battery and press the mod button for 10-12 seconds. Then release. Re-insert the battery and if still nothing then contact with the gopro customer support.
