Table Saw Basics - Bevel Cuts

Trapping the piece you are cutting when making a bevel cut can result in a violent kickback and should be avoided by moving the fence to the other side of the blade.
Additionally, the best way to ensure accurate bevel cuts is to make sure your saw is set up correctly, that when it tilts it stays in line with the fence. A good quality, sharp blade will also make cutting bevels more efficient.
