In this video, we are going to learn about the concept of basic proportionality theorem (BPT). Theorem 6.1 or Basic Proportionality theorem states that – “If a line is drawn parallel to one side of a triangle to intersect the other two sides in distinct points, the other two sides are divided in the same ratio.”
To prove this theorem, we will use Area of Triangle, Area of Obtuse Triangle, a property (Two triangles on the same base (or equal bases) and between the same parallels are equal in area.)
