The broadcaster Huw Edwards is facing a possible prison sentence after admitting viewing 41 indecent images of children, including two moving images of a child believed to be as young as seven.
The former BBC presenter pleaded guilty at Westminster Magistrates' Court.
The Corporation says it is shocked, at what it called his "abhorrent behaviour". He will be sentenced in September.
