Songs of Avudai Akkal | Gayathri Venkataraghavan

Shengottai Avudai Akkal was  a great Saint and a beacon among women composers . Her life is one of struggles.However with her Guru's grace she attained divine grace and started composing, almost entirely on Vedanta and Guru. Many of her songs were Bhagavan Sri Ramanar's favourites and her songs inspired Maha Kavis like Bharathiyar .
In this recital we have tuned and presented some compositions in simple easy to learn and sing along tunes. Many of these compostions she has signed off as the disciple of her Guru Tiruvisainallur Sri Sridhara Ayyaval.
