Installing 1,000 Gallons Of Surplus Tanks for Rain Water Storage

During last year's drought conditions we had a hard time keeping the garden and fish pond watered. The pond especially needs non-chlorinated water for the fish, so we can't just top it off with city tap water. This year I found two 500-gallon plastic storage tanks, so we're installing them as huge rain barrels! I was originally hoping to make some kind of observatory pod or ham radio shack out of one of the barrels, but they're just too darn useful for water storage!
