Under the hood of every Nautilus is a turbocharged 2.0-liter inline-four engine. For non-hybrids, that spells 250 horsepower and 275 pound-feet of torque bolted to an eight-speed automatic transmission. The hybrid's turbocharged 2.0-liter inline-four gets help from a 100 kW electric motor for a total output of 310 horsepower. The hybrid works with a continuously variable transmission. Both powertrains connect to all-wheel drive. The 330-hp twin-turbo V-6 that was previously available on Nautilus has been dropped.  MPG may exceed 30  at the expense of the good old days when you had a solid V6 or V8 under the hood.

But the real talk on this car will be regarding the driver's dash/ display/gauges.
A 48 inch widestretch display sweeps from left to right similar to that in the new Escalade IQ. But you can only look at it for information, weather and other Windows 10-like information.  To actually manipulate it you need to interface with the steering wheels capacitive touchpads or the 11.1" LCD touchscreen.  It kinda feels busy and superfluous.  You mean you couldn't make that stretch panel a touch display?

I wasn't comfortable sitting in it, but I'm larger than most. The front seats don't want to go back beyond the B-pillar and the steering wheel is set ridiculously low.  No wonder Dodge sells so many cars. Everything over at FCA/ Chrysler/Stellantis/ whatever is way more spacious up front.  The back is a nicer place to be for sure.

This car really feels so techy that it should be an EV. But it isn't.   Why not?

I prefer the solid instant torque of EV and their punchy, trigger-happy acceleration  to the drone of turbocharged hybrid engines.
