The football helmet fitting depends on measurements and comfort.
After you buy your football helmet, you should put the helmet on. If it has inflatable pads, pump air into them until the helmet feels snug front to back and side to side. If the football helmet’s padding is interchangeable, adjust them so your head is secure. The helmet should be sitting 1-inch above the eyebrow. Interlock your fingers and press down on top of the helmet. You should feel pressure on the crown, not the brow. There should be no space between your temple and the helmet, and your jaw and the helmet. There should be no shifting or twisting of the forehead or skin against the pads.
