Since the 1960's Church disciplines have taken a beating, especially the traditional Lenten disciplines of the great Saints, as the current message from Rome continues to focus more on the health of the planet than the health of the Church.
But that doesn't mean we cannot do more than the required bare minimum.
As the great Saint Teresa of Avila reminds us: "GO BEYOND MINIMALISM!"
