※ Jaskier & Yennefer - Alibis [The Witcher Season 2]

So, Jaskier and Yennefer. To my thinking it is difficult to find more contradictory characters in this series. Since the season 1 I've been a fan of what Netflix managed to do with the character of Jaskier. When I read the books, I had the idea that if I was asked to choose a little part that characterizes the character best, I would choose the story "A Little Sacrifice" from Sword of Destiny, and when I watched the series, I had the impression that it was the same thought that visited the production stuff. Everything was just great and then Yennefer appeared... I met this character for the first time when I was playing The Witcher 3. Since that time I didn’t give a fuck of Triss because how can there be any other way? So when I saw the cast of the series, my first thought was "what the fuck?!". Because the actress does not fit this character at all, the funniest thing is that she looks perhaps even younger and smaller than Freya Allan, who played the role of Ciri, although it should be quite the opposite. Their first meeting with Geralt is worth of special mention, in which for some reason they wanted to add all this fucked-up stuff with the orgy, that of course is not in the book (moreover, there is a scene in the books that is ironic about this episode more than a decade before its creation, when one of the sorceresses of Nilfgaard goes to meet with the sorceresses of the north, with full sense of confident that there will be drugs and orgies and something else that no one knows... She reveals nothing, except luxuriously, but still business-like dressed sorceresses (hello to the Battle of Sodden Hill from the TV series, where this mob went in dresses with tits jumping out of necklines). So I can state with full responsibility that I waited for the season 2 for the sake of Jaskier and in spite of Yennefer. And then there was a scene in the tavern.... that I have watched with the thought "oh, fuck it all." Because it was so warm and friendly good that at some point I just caught myself thinking "she's still a shitty Yennefer, but when Geralt or Ciri are not somewhere nearby and Jaskier is in the scene, I quite manage to perceive her as some other original character, quite interesting, whom I can empathize with.
