In this educational video we talk about metal color for your engagement ring and more specifically adding touches of color such as yellow or rose gold. While the overall design/structure of the ring and its center-stone shape are crucial, the metal type and color is just as important and will depict the whole look of your ring.
Platinum vs White Gold: A trained eye can pick up on the difference of platinum being a slightly duller metal while white gold will have an extra bit of shine to it. Platinum is denser so will a weightier feel to it
Rose Gold: Rose gold has been on the rise for a few years and now and we strongly feel that it is here to stay. It looks great on the hand and because of its neutral tone blends in well with most skin tones.
Yellow Gold: No longer "old fashion" we pegged this metal color as being one of the top trends for 2017 and so far we have not been disappointed
Yellow gold VS Rose gold: Yellow is bolder while rose is considered more subtle
Two-Tone: Keeping white gold around the center-stone helps maintain its naturally colorless appearance and prevents the surrounding metal color from bleeding into it. Also it creates a strong contrast from the band to the top and really makes the center-piece stand out.
