How to Password Protect ANY Folder or File on Mac

Learn how to password protect a folder or file on macOS by encrypting it into a zip file or by using Disk Utility to make an encrypted dmg image. The zip option is cross-platform and can be open on Windows and Linux, but file and folder name are visible. The dmg option only works on Mac, but folder and file names remain hidden.
