The Torre Reforma is the
The Torre Reforma is the tallest building in Mexico City.
The smart cantilever design of the tower has allowed it to keep a small, triangular footprint while gently overhanging a historic hacienda.
It also has strong green credentials – with project sponsors hoping that its sustainable design and energy-saving systems will help the tower to achieve international LEED Platinum designation, the first in Latin America.
The Arup project site states that it is “Designed for Mexico City’s high seismic activity, the building will be able to withstand a 2500yr seismic event while achieving a life safety performance level; making it one the most secure buildings in the region.”
