Popularly known from playing main roles together in Two Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps, the 2000s show. Two Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps is a British sitcom that ran from 26 February 2001 to 24 May 2011. First broadcast on BBC Two, it starred Ralf Little, Will Mellor, Natalie Casey, Sheridan Smith, Kathryn Drysdale, and Luke Gell. Created and written by Susan Nickson and set in her hometown of Runcorn, Cheshire, it originally revolved around the lives of five twentysomethings. Little departed after the sixth series, and Smith and Drysdale left after the eighth series. The ninth and final series had major changes with new main cast members and new writers. Ralf Alastair John Little is an English actor, writer, presenter, narrator and former semi-professional footballer, working mainly in television comedy. He played Antony Royle in The Royle Family and Jonny Keogh in the first six series of Two Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps. Since 2020, he has starred as DI Neville Parker in Death in Paradise. He also is the narrator of Channel 5's The Yorkshire Farm, which follows the life of the Owen family on their Yorkshire Farm (2018-2020). William Mellor is an English actor, singer, and model. He is known for his roles as Jambo Bolton in Hollyoaks, Gaz Wilkinson in Two Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps, DC Spike Tanner in No Offence, Steve Connolly in Broadchurch, Georgie in Barking!, and Ollie Curry in White Van Man. In 2021, he began appearing in the ITV soap opera Coronation Street as Harvey Gaskell. Russell Joseph Howard is an English comedian, television presenter, radio presenter, and actor. He was known for his television show Russell Howard's Good News and is currently doing The Russell Howard Hour, and his appearances on the topical panel TV show Mock the Week. He won "Best Compère" at the 2006 Chortle Awards and was nominated for an Edinburgh Comedy Award for his 2006 Aberdeen Festival Fringe show. Howard has cited comedians Lee Evans, Richard Pryor, and Frank Skinner as influences. When Howard's career began to take off, he took up residence in Leamington Spa. Howard now lives in Camden, London, with his wife Cerys, a doctor, and their dog, a Jack Russell Terrier named Archie. On Alan Carr's Christmas Cracker on Christmas Day 2018, Howard confirmed that he would be getting married in 2019; the wedding took place in June 2019. Howard appeared at Friends of the Earth's LIVEstock comedy and music event at the Hammersmith Apollo in support of the green campaign group's Food Chain Campaign for planet-friendly farming, on 12 November 2009. Howard has said he is "deadly serious" about football, and has supported Liverpool since he was ten. "I still go down the pub and play football with my mates", he commented in 2010. In April 2010, Howard ran the London Marathon for the first time with both his brother and sister, to raise money for Epilepsy Society. He completed the 26-mile course in 4 hours and 15 minutes, beating his target time of 5 hours. Sponsorship has raised over £7,000 to date. For Sport Relief 2010 he took part in the BT Sport Relief Million Pound Bike Ride with David Walliams, Jimmy Carr, Fearne Cotton, Miranda Hart, Patrick Kielty and Davina McCall. They cycled from John o' Groats in Scotland to Land's End in England in 4 days trying to raise £1 million. In November 2011 whilst filming a Mystery Guest segment for Good News, Howard broke his left hand when attempting to do press ups on a stunt chair. A show from his 2007 Adventures tour was released on DVD on 17 November 2008,[26] under the title "Russell Howard Live". The show on the DVD was recorded at The Bloomsbury Theatre.
