Tangkahan from Logging to Eco Lodging

The Tangkahan Eco-village initiative was started in 2000 by the villages Namo Sialang and Sei Serdang with the support of the Leuser National Park’s head office and partners.

The initiative demonstrates that livelihoods and ecosystems can be preserved when communities lead the way. Kemitraan appreciates Tangkahan initiative and will be interested to support the Government of Indonesia to scale up such initiative nationwide.
