#hemispherectomy #hemiparesis #epilepsysurgery Child two months post hemispherectomy trials transcutaneous spinal cord stimulation. This non-invasive technology researched at the Edgerton Neuromuscular Research Lab at UCLA has been shown to help persons with paralysis regain leg movements. We are hopeful that this technology will improve gait and ambulation in children with hemiparesis caused by surgeries that remove or disconnect one motor strip of the brain, including hemispherectomy, and have provided $25,000 in support for the production of several devices for trials in our population. You can really see the improvements in gait at :025 when the video goes to slow motion.
