Over 500 years ago, the American continent was still an undeveloped land. Native Americans lived quietly and peacefully on this land, isolated from the rest of the world. They could not have imagined that in the years to come, the land where they had lived for generations would become their nightmare. Even less could they have foreseen that in the following centuries, an incredibly powerful empire would emerge on this very soil.

In the early 15th century, with the development of commodity economy and the emergence of capitalism in Europe, domestic trade in European powers no longer satisfied capitalist expansion. However, at that time, the Ottoman Turkish Empire controlled the land-based Silk Road. Meanwhile, ancient Chinese shipbuilding and compass technology had been introduced to Europe. As a result, European powers began to seek a maritime Silk Road to open up sea trade routes between East and West. Thus began the Age of Exploration.
