Ready to witness how awesome cover designs are born? 🔥
Today let's check out how we designed this striking book cover for R. A. Haton's fantasy romance Manumission ⚔️

✨ We started with the central objects of the cover: a sword that stands for power,  protection, and strength to stand your ground, and chains that symbolize slavery. The composition reflects the key idea of the book - the fight for freedom.
✨ Next, we added lavender - a reference to the story's MC. The flowers beautifully frame the cover and balance the heavy metallic visuals by adding some tenderness to the image.
✨ Lavander helped us determine the color scheme for the cover and we went for black and purple. Swirls of light violet smoke add a mysterious fantasy vibe.
✨Finally, we retouched the image, added highlights to make the metal shiny and eye-grabbing, and made the hues a bit more saturated 🙌
