Our Italian vlog series took
Our Italian vlog series took us to the ancient City of Matera, Italy. We took the FAL Train from Bari to Matera.
This Bari to Matera Train ride was less than an hour.
We stayed at Locanda di San Martino Thermae Spa and Hotel in Matera - one of the most unique hotels in the world. Just like the rest of Sassi di Matera, Locanda di San Martino Hotel and Thermae Romanae was built within the ancient caves of Matera. Our welcoming Matera hotel package mentioned that it was around 4,000 years ago someone stayed in our Matera caves hotel room!
But of course, the highlight of our stay here is the Locanda di San Martino Spa. Located in the basement of the hotel, this ancient Roman spa is a series of connected cave pools, and saunas rooms and places to relax and have a cup of tea.
