Buka is the silverback leader
Buka is the silverback leader of a family of Western Lowland Gorillas, wonderfully habituated for research and tourism by WCS, in the Mondika study area, Nouabale-Ndoki National Park, Congo. Here he displays both strength and dexterity, ripping off cement-like termitaria and delicately tapping out termites, eggs and larvae into the palm of his hand to eat.
