Kadhi Pakora Written Recipe With Directions

Ingredients For Kadhi:

-Cooking oil ½ cup
-Onion (piyaz) big size 1 chopped
-Tomatoes (tamatar) medium size 2 chopped
-Green chilies (hari mirch) 5 chopped
-Water (pani) 4 liter
-Gram flour (besan) 250g
-Yogurt (dahi) ½ Kg
-Red chili (lal mirch) powder 1 tbs
-Cumin seeds (zeera) ½ tbs
-Turmeric (haldi) powder ¼ tbs
-Salt (namak) 1 tbs or to taste
-Food color ¼ tsp

Ingredients for Pakora:

-Potatoes (Alu) ½ Kg
-Onion (piyaz) small size 1 chopped
-Ginger garlic (adrak lehsan) paste 1 tbs
-Salt (namak) ½ tbs or to taste
-Red chili (lal mirch) powder ½ tbs
-Red chili flakes (adh khuti lal mirch) 1 tbs
-Pomegranate Seeds (Anardana) to taste
-Carom seeds (Ajwain) ½ tbs
-Green chilies (hari mirch) 5 chopped
-Fresh Mint (podina) 1 tbs chopped
-Fresh Coriander (dhania) 2 tbs
-Dried coriander seeds (sabut dhania) 1 tbs crushed
-All-purpose flour (maida) 3 tbs
-Gram flour (besan) 125 g
-Egg (Anda) 1

Ingredients for Tadka:

-Cooking oil
-Cumin seeds (zeera) 1 tsp
-Bay leaves (tez paat) 2-3
-Red chili buttons (sabut lal mirch)  8-9
-Kashmiri red chili (lal mirch)powder 1 tsp

Directions for Kadhi:

-In a bowl, add water, gram flour, and yogurt. Whisk well.
-In a wok, add cooking oil and heat it.
-Add onion, tomatoes, and green chilies. Cook it on a medium flame for 3-4 mins.
-Add prepared mixture, keep on stirring slowly, and cook it for 10 mins on medium flame.
-Add red chili powder, cumin seeds, turmeric powder, salt, and food color. Cook it on medium-low flame for 20 mins.
-Then, cook it on low (dum) flame.

Directions For Pakora:

-Peel off the potatoes and cut them into small cubes.
-In a bowl, add potatoes, onion, ginger garlic paste, salt, red chili powder, red chili flakes, pomegranate seeds, carom seeds, green chilies, fresh mint, fresh coriander, dried coriander seeds, all-purpose flour, gram flour, and egg. Mix well.
-In a pan, add cooking oil and heat it.
-Add a few drops of water and mix well the prepared pakora mixture.
-Now, add pakora to oil and fry them on medium flame. After 3-4 mins change the side of pakora. Fry them for 4-5 mins until golden brown in color. Total frying time 7 mins.
-Add pakora to kadhi and mix well.

Directions For Tadka:

-In a pan,  add the leftover pakora oil.
-Add cumin seeds, bay leaves, and red chili buttons. Roast it for 2-3 mins.
-Add Kashmiri red chili and cook it.
-Add tadka to Kadhi Pakora.
-Turn off the flame of the kadhi pakora, cover, and set aside for 3 mins.
-Dish out, serve, and enjoy with Roti or Rice.
