Whether it's for voluntary stranding hunts in South Carolina, games with a poisonous snake in the lagoon of Rangiroa, defense against a tiger shark in the Marquesas Islands, courtship displays in the crystal clear waters of the Pacific, racing- pursuits at the bows of oil tankers in Texas, everything goes through the group: the dolphin only knows how to live when flanked by its peers to feed, defend itself, and of course communicate and reproduce.
