In this tutorial video, we'll simulate a 0 to 10 volt signal from a boiler to control the speed of the MAGNA3 pump. We'll also demonstrate how the pump performs as the signal changes. For this demonstration, we used a MAGNA3 pump installed in one of our Technical Training lab units. We've already filled the system with fluid and vented it.

To begin the process, we use a small Torx driver to remove the front cover of the MAGNA3 pump. We then show the connections for the analog inputs, including the 24-volt input that we won't be using for this demonstration. We show how to connect the positive and negative wires from the boiler to the signal and ground connections on the analog input terminal.

Once the connections are secured, we put the front cover back on the pump and tighten all the screws in a star-shaped pattern. We then connect the pump to the proper line voltage to power it up. The pump enters its startup screen where we set the language and date format.

Next, we select the external speed control option and choose a 0 to 10 volt input. We also adjust the linear settings for our application. Finally, we demonstrate the pump's operation by sending different voltages to the pump. We show how the flow, head, and wattage usage change with varying input voltages.

Overall, this tutorial provides a step-by-step demonstration of how to set up and control the MAGNA3 pump using a 0 to 10 volt signal. If you're interested in pump maintenance and repair, this video will provide valuable insights.
