STORYLINE:

Hezbollah celebrated the world day for Jerusalem on Friday with a massive military parade in the Lebanese capital, Beirut.

After Hezbollah militants marched through the streets, Hezbollah leader Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah spoke to the crowd, calling on the Palestinians to continue their fight against Israelis.

"You respond to those who kill you and arrest you and imprison you by carrying out more suicide attacks against the enemy," Nasrallah said.

Nasrallah also spoke out against the role of the United States in the region, accusing them of an "intimidation campaign."

Also on Friday, Hezbollah organised a demonstration at Fatima Gate at the Lebanese-Israeli border Southern Lebanon where small children from the party marched along the gate and pointed their weapons to the Israeli settlements Northern Israel.

The Palestinian camps also marked the world day for Jerusalem.

In Ein El Helweh, the biggest Palestinian refugee camp in Sidon, Southern Lebanon, Palestinians took to the streets holding their weapons, demonstrating against what is happening in the Palestinian occupied territories.

Meanwhile, U-S Assistant Secretary of State William Burns said after talks with Lebanon's prime minister Rafik Hariri late on Thursday that Washington has concerns about the militant group Hezbollah.

While recognising that Hezbollah has a number of different dimensions, Burns said the United States "continues to be concerned about terrorist activities that go well beyond the borders of this country(Lebanon)."
