Ashley's Story

Ashley's traumatic accident left her buried alive. See her amazing story of courage and determination. Baystate Medical Center is the only American College of Surgeons verified level 1 trauma center in western Massachusetts, providing the highest level of surgical care for the most severely injured trauma patients. Traumatic injuries can be caused by blunt or penetrating forces caused by car crashes, falls, gunshots and other forces outside the body. To care for these injuries it takes coordination across many specialties and from a care team specifically trained to treat traumatic injuries.
