The Irish Kinahan Cartel has become one of the most powerful criminal organizations over the past decade. According to a conference organized by Europol in 2022, it turns out that the latter plays in the league of the most powerful groups such as the Mexican cartels, the Italian mafia or even the Japanese Yakuza. One of the leaders of the clan is Daniel Kinahan, a former boxing promoter who did not hesitate to advise the biggest names in the sport like the British Tyson Fury to whitewash his reputation. The cartel has generated more than a billion euros and seems to be far from wiped out despite an international crackdown behind it, especially since their local feud since 2016 with a rival gang, managed by Gerard Hutch, The Monk.
