Jorge has been researching at the Mexican Petroleum Institute (IMP) since 2000, he is now a Project Leader and Head of Biomass Conversion Division at the Institute. Dr. Aburto’s main research areas are bioproducts for applications in the petroleum industry, biomass deconstruction and conversion, among others. Jorge is Author of several international articles, book chapters, and patents; and is recognized in Mexico as National Researcher level 2. In 2019 Mission Innovation Initiative has awarded Jorge as Mission Innovation Champion of Mexico for his accomplishments in bioenergy. (www.linkedin.com/in/jorge-aburto/) • Mattia Bartoli. Mattia is a Researcher at Instituto Italiano di Tecnologia. Mattia has been committed to the field of thermochemical conversion of biomass since 2014. During the years, he has worked on several projects with biofuels and biomass derived materials in Europe and Canada. Galyna is a Technical Expert at UNDP, developing the Climate Change Adaptation Strategy for Ukraine. For the past 16 years, Galyna has been working at the Institute for Economics and Forecasting (within the Ukrainian National Academy of Sciences) at the Department of Energy Modelling. She is now holding a position of a Senior Researcher there. At the Institute, Galyna is developing policy recommendations for the energy sector in general and the renewable energy in particular.
