The dual stream capability of this camera allows it to receive two streams with different resolutions simultaneously. This is useful in video conferencing where one stream can be used by the AI algorithm to identify the person in front by analyzing his or her facial features and lip movements. At the same time, the other stream can be used for video recording and previewing. While this can be done using a single stream, having two separate streams at the required resolutions makes the job easier for the video conferencing device or telepresence robot.
The HDR capability of this 4K USB camera helps to capture images without any data loss in challenging lighting conditions. The H.264 video encoding capability of this camera ensures high-quality transmission of full-motion video by consuming a minimal amount of bandwidth.
e-CAM83_USB is based on the 1/2.5" Sony IMX317 CMOS image sensor. It has a powerful high-performance built-in Image Signal Processor (ISP) which helps in providing high-quality image output by leveraging HDR processing, auto white balance, auto gain control, and auto exposure functions.
e-CAM83_USB is a Microsoft Teams compliant camera, which certifies its ability to enable a superior video conferencing experience for the users. However, this camera can utilize any DirectShow application including Skype and Zoom. e-con Systems also provides sample applications for both Windows and Linux for you to evaluate the features of this camera.
Dual streaming support, HDR, inbuilt ISP, and support for DirectShow applications make this camera an ideal fit for applications such as video conferencing, telepresence/avatar robots, ATM kiosks, and airport kiosks.
