Painting Bamboo Free & Loose with Jane Slivka

In this tutorial Jane demonstrates an easy approach to painting bamboo using acrylics. The finished project makes a great accent piece for home decor. As always, she starts her canvas by painting it orange or red and then sketching out the concept using hookers green deep. She explains the use of shadow and light in creating the effect, and what paint colors to mix to make shadows, light, shades of green and tans.  She also  talks about "negative painting" which is how she always paints.
